Name: Lt Zane Kiel
Race: Human
Gender Male
Rank/Position: Weapons Officer
Appearance:
Welcome to the Suck
At first glance, you would find the Lieutenant to be the epitome of military professionalism by at minimum appearance standards. A high and tight hair cut of dark brown hair is kept at the required 1/4" above the normal hair line. Facial hair ceases to exist as he is always clean shaved. His uniform is kept pressed, spotless, and always in mint condition. Even when suited up for ground or space ops, his suit is maintained to the utmost of requirements outlined by the Organization.
Take another look and it won't change, minus the facial expression you'll eventually manage to see that informs you there is no need to look at the man twice.
Underneath whatever uniform or gear he has donned you will find a body fit for service. Nothing too over stacked, but enough to prove he's held positions outside a Weapons Officer. His skin tone is kept at a slight tan that has been maintained at a fairly decent even level, eliminating various lines from clothing. Some have ventured to say he has had some form of implants installed, but his file is clean of any synthetic upgrades.
Personality:
Consideration is put into every process Zane cognitively has control over, from throwing punches down to breathing patterns. Such precision and tact over his own emotions is something he used to suffer horribly with before commissioning to become an officer. Once a decent level of mature was struck (quite literally) into him he began to find a way to straighten himself, and others, out efficiently.
Because of his approach on life, it can be decided upon quickly to steer clear of the Lieutenant. "Advice" to those below him is not something he refrains from, as he has knows others around him can be bettered through his knowledge and guidance. Overall, he is quite the narcissist and expresses no desire to change this.
History:
Prior to his commissioning, Zane was a member of a SF team as a JTAC, calling in heavy fire support and coordinated air to ground strikes before infiltrating a foreward area to proceed on target. During this eight year tour he earned his right to apply for an officer commission through a reserve training unit. Initially, he entered in hoping to be a pilot, providing the rain for the boys he left back on the ground.
When time for selection came around he had yet to solidify the demeanour he carries present day, and it led to his removal for consideration as a pilot. Unclassified entries into his record reflect several confrontations with SROs, fellow trainees, and even contractors hired out for positions that were harder to fill by military staff.
Off the target he had hoped for and fought for it became a matter of not caring for what assignment he was given. Others around him were going off to fly, or command ground teams like he had once belonged to. Zane, he was handed one option: Onboards Weapons Officer. Questioning it wasn't entirely an option. It seemed things had truly hit the fan and would have been better off never taking the candidate position.
Then it was realized to him what his job would actually entail. This came of course with a slight bit of "help" from a Major who decided by some margin of intelligence, that Zane was worth salvaging and molding. Since his run in with the man he has become the very person he is today, and continues to do as such.
