Name: SSgt Mari Anziel
Race: Cyborg
Gender Female
Rank: Staff Sergeant
Appearance:
All Banged Up
A few rough years of service have landed the SSgt into the "caring" hands that belonged to a team of scientist who deemed her "fortunate" enough to save. Reconstruction took place on roughly 68% of her body initially, removing just about every human organ group from her. When fully proccessed, she consits of a mere 22% human flesh and organs, the rest a mechanical masterpiece. Her overall hieght has been extended to 5'8" due to the construction details of the legs that now support what is left of her body. In total weight she is roughly 263 pounds due to all of the synthetic pumps and equipment contained within. Much of her body shape was maintained, giving her a thin frame to support that is faster to move than it seems. What confirmable features exists are from her neck up, complete with a dyed blueish green hair and dark blue eyes. The paleness of her skin has been matched from her face to the rest of any areas exposed.
Maintaining a uniform has become difficult for the woman and to combat such greif she has opted to merely adjust the color scheme of her synthetic parts to match the crew on board. For the most part, the pieces are interchangable, allowing for customization of her mechanical body to suit her desires. When not on duty she switches out for a white and blue variant.
Personality:
Figuring out what goes on in this woman's head is fairly easy. Her mouth does not shut. Ever. Despite any wishes portions of the crew around her may have due to the nature of her volume and comments. Sarcasm does not escape this woman, nor does the fair chance to crack jokes, make an "example" out of someone, or even flat out hazing. Yes there are regulations against it, but once on board, who is really going to prevent such a thing? That mindset is part of what landed Mari on board the vessel in the first place.
Other notable quirks include speaking to herself, throwing objects "blindly" over her shoulder, and "forgetting" how much strength she can exert with her mechanical limbs. Typically the prisoners are relatively safe from this as she prefers to pick on the other guards. Something about the prisoners being too weak to handle it. Tough love and motivation goes a long way with her and is in no short supply from her end. Those who expect to serve under her should be prepared to go to hell and back, be it the Captain who takes them there or simply trying to survive under the eyes of thier Staff Sergeant.
History:
Never did a premise of doubt exist within the Organization that SSgt Anziel was trouble. Even in her early years as a Private First Class there was a file on her. Satisfaction with her equipment was consistenatly at an all time low, leaving her the means to barter for bigger and better things. The problem was, it often involved trading away her issued gear for black market goods. Had it not been for the results she achieved, the boot would have been given to her rear well before she could even think about making Sergeant, let alone Staff Sergeant.
Problematic circumstances arose two years further into her career as a Corporal serving on missions that were never recorded. Some form of explosion was created near the squad, and Anziel was thrown and crushed. When she came to, only her neck and left arm could be moved. What strength she could muster was not nearly enough to wiggle herself free. Dying was not something she wanted to do, but it was seeming she didn't have much of a choice. Hours later, she was retrieved off the planet surface, presumably dead.
Once vitals were verified, the option to maintain the troublesome Corporal's life with cybernetics arose. Hesitations dropped out of every person's mouth for varying reasons. In the end they were pushed aside. Despite the troubles caused, there was a proven track record that kept her alive. Back from the dead and strutting around as a Sergeant, Anziel was quick to show those who saved her just how little it phased her. The same old routine surfaced, this time involving larger quantities of equipment. Before long she had an entire squad outfitted with black market goods. Tempers flared whenever the name came up on any mission briefing list.
Not long after the Tenacious VII Project came to creation, and a desire to get both SSgt Anziel and her troublesome squad came from every corner of the Organization. No matter how good they were at thier jobs, they were simply tired of dealing with a group that did not follow the rules. Her orders were simple. Get your people, get your illegal gear, get the hell onto that plane, keep everyone in line, do whatever it takes to ensure the mission is successful. A final hint at the nature of the mission was given with the comment that if, and only IF they happen to survive, she might be lucky to get promoted again.
